High School EMT Program

Empowering the Next Generation of EMS Professionals

The Alaska Prehospital Education Consortium (APEC), in collaboration with local school systems and fire departments, is proud to introduce the High School EMT Program. This innovative initiative offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn both their National Registry and State of Alaska EMT certification while completing their high school education.

Program Highlights

Dual Certification

Students graduate with National Registry and State of Alaska EMT certification, preparing them for immediate entry into emergency medical services or furthering their healthcare education.

Real World Experience

Students gain hands-on training and clinical experience through partnerships with local fire departments and EMS agencies.

Career Pathways

This program equips students with life-saving skills and opens doors to careers in EMS, firefighting, nursing, and other medical professions.

Comprehensive Curriculum

Taught by APEC’s expert instructors, the program integrates high-quality, evidence-based EMS education into the high school environment.
