APEC Terms and Conditions
Academic Honesty and Integrity is expected throughout all courses.
Students are required to complete all coursework, examinations, quizzes, skills evaluations, and assignments honestly and independently unless collaboration is explicitly permitted by the instructor. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized assistance, misrepresentation of work, or violation of testing or assignment rules is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.
EMSTesting.com is secure material that cannot be copied, pasted, stored, or shared in any way.
All Platinum Education Group and EMS Testing materials are protected, proprietary content. Students, instructors, and staff may only access and use these materials within authorized systems. Copying, saving, recording, sharing, modifying, or attempting to reproduce any portion of this content—including adaptive testing—is strictly prohibited and may result in suspension, expulsion, and additional legal or administrative action.
Minimum course progress of one chapter per week is required.
Students are expected to maintain continuous and consistent academic progress throughout the duration of the program. Falling behind this minimum pace may result in academic warning, required remediation, loss of good standing, course deactivation, delay of course completion, or administrative withdrawal from the program.
Attendance and Participation at Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), Virtual Skills Sessions (VSS), and the Final Practical Assessment (FPA) is required.
Students who enter the APEC AEMT program as EMT-Bs are required to attend Advanced Virtual Skills Sessions (AVSS) on rotating Thursday nights. Students who enter the APEC AEMT program as EMT-2s or EMT-3s are strongly encouraged to attend AVSS but not required. Instructors do reserve the right to assign any AVSS to a student who would benefit from it. A minimum 30 day notice is required by the instructor who is making the AVSS mandatory for their student.
Completion of AVSS 1-6 (not necessarily in numerical order) is required for completion of the program for students entering as EMT-Bs.
Completion of all AVSS assigned by the student’s instructor is required for completion of the program for students entering as EMT-2s or EMT-3s.
All students enrolled in the EMT program are required to attend VSS on rotating Thursday nights. Completion of VSS 1-6 (not necessarily in numerical order) is required for completion of the program

These sessions provide advanced instruction and hands-on virtual skills practice that are critical to competency development.
Student-acquired equipment, student-identified peers, and student-identified mentors are required.
Access to EMS equipment is required for the successful completion of this course as discussed with the lead instructor prior to enrollment.
Students must have one or more peers available to participate in skills practice during required sessions. Peers are defined as classmates in the program, other EMT students, or ETTs.
Peer involvement is necessary for completing partner-based or team-based skills demonstrations and exercises.
Each student must have access to a mentor throughout the duration of the course.
A mentor for the AEMT program is defined as someone with an AK-AEMT or higher certification who the student can contact in person at least once every 2 weeks.
A mentor for the EMT program is defined as any individual of AK EMT-1/ NREMT-B or higher who the student can contact in person at least once every 2 weeks.
Mentors may assist with skills support, professional guidance, and meeting course expectations as outlined by the program.
Mentors must read, acknowledge, and agree to the statement of standards.
Course Enrollment is Assigned to the Individual Student only and non-transferable.
An APEC enrollment is issued to a specific individual based on eligibility, admissions, and regulatory requirements and may not be transferred, substituted, or reassigned to another person under any circumstances. This applies even when tuition is paid by an agency, employer, or grant. Any attempt to transfer enrollment will be denied and may result in loss of enrollment or fees.
After enrollment, there is limited time to drop or withdrawal and request a full or partial refund.
Students who wish to drop a course must submit a written request to the Education Program Manager within 7 days of their enrollment. In such cases, a full refund (minus approximately $170 [July 2023] for any used course access codes) will be issued to the student. The fee for used course access codes is non-refundable.
For withdrawals occurring between 7 days and 30 days after enrollment, students must submit a written request to the Education Programs Manager. A 75% refund will be granted to the student upon approval.
Prolonged Course enrollment may be disrupted by textbook publisher requirements, technology, and/or limitations.
Course access, testing access, or instructional resources are subject to time limits, licensing terms, platform restrictions, and technical constraints imposed by third-party providers. Students who do not complete the course within the expected timeframe may experience interruptions, delays, or loss of access that are outside APEC’s control and may require reactivation fees, re-enrollment, or additional costs.
Requesting an Accomodation
Students who experience unforeseen circumstances affecting their progress must contact their instructor and APEC administration to request accommodation for continuation in accordance with program policies.

Failure to meet any of the above Terms & Conditions—including attendance requirements, equipment needs, or support requirements—may result in:
Inability to complete required skills
Course deactivation
Delay of course completion
Additional fees
Dismissal from the program (if applicable)
