  • Who Can Join?

    Fire Departments and EMS Agencies

    We extend an invitation to Fire Departments and EMS agencies looking to hire new Firefighters or EMTs and wishing to advance EMTs to the AEMT or Paramedic level. Participate in this program and secure a skilled workforce for your community.

  • Program Overview

    EMT Internship: 2000-hour paid internship that includes a comprehensive EMT training course leading to National Registry and State of Alaska certification.

    AEMT Internship: 2000-hour paid internship, encompassing an AEMT training program that leads to National Registry and State of Alaska certification.

    Paramedic Internship: 4000-hour paid internship, featuring an Accredited Paramedic Program that culminates in National Registry and State of Alaska certification.

  • Federal Backing for Your Success

    The partnership with HD Medical and APEC is built upon the Department of Labor's Registered Apprenticeship Program model. This ensures access to federal grants to support the placement of individuals within participating Fire and EMS Departments throughout the state.
